Another blown motor
First off - this is not going to be a pissing match about tuning or not. Now for the stats. About 1000 miles ago I noticed black carbon like smoke from the truck under a heavy throttle.. Last night driving home I gunned it and at about 5500rpms everything went wrong.. I had my music up so I didn't hear a bang. I made a turn and the power was gone.. Engine shut off n oil light came on.. Got out of the truck and oil was dripping on the ground. What's my next step.
28k on the motor
its a 2013 so the truck is still under warranty..

What motor do you have?
Are you under warranty?

Looks like an ECO from his previous posts. I read you had the startup noise on your 11, did you also have it on your 13? Did you have condensation issues with it? Any insight would be helpful. I would recommend going back to stock and disconnect the battery. Then call your dealer.

JHC, beats me, warranty counter I guess with a remove the tune time out and a kill the battery really dead headlight and blinker contest.

So you previously blew one? I would say it's something you are doing. Too much hp with your tune? Flogging it? ???

I think he was referring to his other truck. Probably took it out to avoid confusion. Well you should probably bring it in to ford for warranty work. This would not be the first time FORD has seen a blown ecoboost. Especially sounds like a rod went threw the case. I have seen this in Ford service with the 2.7 ecoboost. Very HUSh hush about it.
