Yeah, I know. All that would otherwise be sent back into the engine. I swear by my catch can, you can't convince me that stuff is good for the engine.

2011 FX4 Supercrew Eco with Tuner and Cold Air Intake. everything else is stock. never an issue. I don't believe in this catch can. Change my own oil and never have smelled gas in my oil. Have had the upper serviced by ford to get all the gunk out, i have put seafoam in my oil to keep the lower clean and in my gas tank as well, ever so often. I don't think i'll get a catch can don't believe in one. saw some photos, if i take my CAC off or the charge pips off oil should drip out of them? i live in central GA/AL line

I can respect that. Let me preface this by saying I'm not trying to change your mind or sway your opinion, just explaining my view. I personally don't believe in Seafoam. There are arguments on both sides of that fence and from everything that I have found I'm not convinced that it works. O.K., back on topic. I have a friend who has been a Ford tech for 15+ years, and he prides himself on being on top of all the advancements that come around. He went to Ford training on the Eco-Boost engines and is very knowledgeable on the ins and outs of them. I talked to him when I started hearing about the stutter/hesitation problems that were happening. It was actually him that suggested the catch can to me, he told me that the main problem is that the Ecoboost is direct injected but normally aspirated(regular PCV system) and because being turbocharged there can be a lot of blow by in the cylinders. When the PCV system vents that back into the intake to be burned it collects on the back of the valves, especially the #1 valve. This isn't unique to Ford, other car makers have similar issues with their GTDI engines as well. He said that's normally the cause of the hesitation/stuttering issues. He's seen first hand the build up of nasty crud(that's a Ford term used with permission, lol!) on the valves. He runs a catch can on his EB and has kept an eye on his valves and says they look good, no excessive build up or anything. So he convinced me. Anyway, that's my take. Sorry for being long winded.

Installed the RX Monster Catch Can and changed plugs about 3 weeks ago. Hesitation is all but gone. Gas mileage seems to be going up as well. Here's what was in mine after the first empty.

I have had my full race catch can on since last Feb., and swear by it, the pic is just from 3 days of running here in Michigan, with very cold temps..... from sunday dec 12th to wed the 14th. that was from 3 trips to work 40 miles round trip each, then I had swim meet for my son, which was a 2 hour round trip drive.

Not bashing full race i have every part from them on my truck but i had a very bad experience with their catch can. Never caught a drop with mine with it on for a year!!. Then on my last oil change the oil cap was pudding and i checked the valve cover port and all the vapors never made it in to the can. In short all vapors and acids where just being put in my oil. Atleast without a can they just get re burned. I bought it to replace my rx can as its a simple design. Well i reinstalled the rx can and catching a 100ml of nasty oil and water a day this winter!

Could you give me the email or PM me the email address?

I am about to order and want to be sure I have all the necessary equipment beforehand.

Thanks for any help!

funny thing I had the same problem last sunday, what happen is that I let the tank over fill, because I had a drain blockage after that I had basically 2 pop bottles full of water and crud, I took everything off clean the drain ball valve and elbow, that picture I posted was after I had properly drain the water and gas from the catch can.
