Update after receiving the filter:

Filter went right in. It is a good fit and I didn't have any issues with it not seating properly. I noticed that this filter is a bit thinner than the fram paper filter it replaced. Perhaps that where some of the better flow comes from.

As far as performance, I can't say I noticed anything at all. Acceleration is about the same, so is MPG. I haven't run it for too long so perhaps MPG will show a difference in the longer run.

Anyways, its a nice filter that appears to do its job. It replaces the stock paper one and I never have to buy a new filter again.

I got mine in today, took about 2 minutes to install it. I replaced my stock filter with 30k miles on it. i keep really good track of my mileage so I will know in a couple of days and post back if I see any difference.

Well after my 100 mile commute today I feel confident that I have gained .5mpg with this filter over my stock with 30k miles on it.

Well just ordered mine after reading this thread I found through Google! My local Ford service doesn't like my Air Raid open box so I'm going to install this one in the original box and they won't know the difference unless they open it up.

Anybody have some long term results to post about this filter???

What's the service life of this filter? I realize you can clean them out with water, but what are people seeing for the lifetime length? I've had serviceable filters before (diesel world, not gas) and they seem to last no more than 2 years. They are abused though in all fairness.

That is the only filter I've had in my 5.0. Don't know what it sounded like with the stock filter. It was in my Eco and got them to switch it out to my new truck along with my wheels. Love the sound.
