Adding Mechanial Guages
I need help.I have searched the forums but have come upp with nothing.
Question I am adding 3 new Autometer gauges on the pillar.Oil Pressure,Eng Temp,Trans Temp.I can not find where the Engine Temp sensor location is and the Oil Pressure location.Trans temp I am adding a AFE Pan not a problem.Has anyone done this,if so what problems did you have.
Any help would be appricated

Oil pressure - You will need to add a fitting (T) to the existing port in the oil filter adapter.Engine temp' ...
.
- cylinder head temperature sensor
- coolant temperature sensor(to be continued) .....

Can I ask why? Are your stock gauges not working?

|I have never trusted Fords guages.I had a 79 Mustang Pace Car had constant issues with the oil and eng temp guages the car eventual got a Pro Street mod .Fast forward 1985 F150,1991 F350,1997 F350,2001F350,2008F150,the guages were constantly not reading.Mypresent 2013 has been in at least 4 times for the varies gauges not working.

Still looking for the location of the coolant temp' sensor, however ......
Rather than the 3 "mechanical" gauges, the plumbing and wiring necessary to install them, etc., have you considered a scan-like gauge. e.g. In addition to the ability to monitor any of the OBD parameters, it's a single, simple connection to the OBD port.
My installation .....
*I monitor IAT and coolant temp'. Use the dash instrument cluster Gauge Mode to monitor Trans Temp.
Rather than the 3 "mechanical" gauges, the plumbing and wiring necessary to install them, etc., have you considered a scan-like gauge. e.g. In addition to the ability to monitor any of the OBD parameters, it's a single, simple connection to the OBD port.
My installation .....
