Sell it privately to some poor unknowing sap, then buy a leftover 6.2.

They first called me and said they hadn't heard the noise even though I specifically said that the noise doesn't happen right away, so I went to the dealer and pulled it around to the tech's service bay and within 2 minutes the noise started. The tech and shop foreman both were able to confirm the noise but were unsure where to even start.
The tech didn't seem phased by the noise, but the foreman said it was definitely abnormal and he didn't think it was a top end issue, he thinks it sounds more like piston slap or rod knock. So they said they'd communicate with Ford's Technical Hotline to get some direction on where to begin in the diagnosis process. As of now the repair order is still open so hopefully the process will continue soon.

Mine sounds similar, my ticking is much louder but my knock is more subdued not as loud noticeable as yours. They think mine will have to get worse to do anything. I am about to call FCS back and see where we stand. 30K on my truck and it runs strong other than the noise.

Ok thanks, I have noticed quite a bit of these trucks making a slight ticking sound, even at the dealer ship listen to some 5.0's at idle in service line. Mine just seems to be louder on the passenger side at idle. Let us know how it goes. Unless mine gets worse they want do any RO on mine I take it. I think they should be willing to extend my warranty if this is the case as I have concerns about the normal longevity of my engine. My service manager thinks it could be some cam phaser or timing chain noise possibly so i think since they are not sure they want me to watch it and see if it develops into something worse. I am OK as long as it is not something that is going to cause early failure so I understand monitoring it in my case, but if it gets louder or starts to knock loud like in that video I will definitely push for action as anyone should.

UPDATE:
Going back in on tuesday to get looked into further. They're going to pull the valve covers and use their IDS to shut down each cylinder until the noise goes away, then from there they will pull the head to examine the cylinder walls for scoring.
