Default removing deflector from inter-cooler after drilling weep hole?

lots of reading but still no good answer. i am going to do the weep hole in the inter-cooler as a preventive makes since measure. never have had any issues with my truck in 44500 miles. can i take off the deflector at the same time? any pros or cons to taking off the deflector?

Take it off, it was basically a Band-Aid fix because our intercoolers were too efficient. It was supposed to help stop making so much condensation but now that you have a hole it won't matter
