6.2 F150 vs 6.2 superduty
Hey you guys...I am about to pull the trigger on a 6.2 Lariat F150. I read on a thread below that the 6.2 Superdutys have been having some noise/ticking issues witht he 6.2. I also read that the internals of the Superduty (cam liifters, etc..) are different than the F150's 6.2. So basically my question is to see if thhis is true and these issues are only on the Superdutys before I pul the trigger. Any of you with the F150 6.2 having any issues, ticking, engine noise??? It appears that these issues are popping up rather soon in the 250's (around 2-4k miles on them). So how many miles do you F150 owners have if you are reporting no issues at all???
If any of you have a link on any of this, I would appreciate it. I am finding forums that are showing the issues with the Superdutys, but nothing on the F150. I am sure this is a good sign, but I just want to confirm with you guys on this forum.
thanks in advance.

I have a 2011 f150 lariat 6.2 with 2200 miles no ticking no problems just pure power. It is true about the different internals on 6.2 motors. I have several friends that work at the Romeo Engine plant on the 6.2 line and confirmed this. I also know several guys that have super duty 6.2 in my camping circle of friends that have had no issues and are towing and tuning their trucks. I am very happy with this truck and it pulls my 6000lb camper like a dream.

not in my wildest dreams while being in HS... I had a job all throughout and drove an old 2wd, manual, 4cyl, reg cab ranger...lol, and unless my daughter buys her own car in 14 years she'll be driving my current truck to HS!
