Are you running CAI and exhaust

Not yet. I bought the tune mostly to combat the terrible stock shifting and throttle response. Now when I push the pedal the beast comes to life and drives.

My rig is pretty similar to the two pictured above. 27' legend with two sleds.

I'm trying to find an intake with a lid for warrenty issues, as the truck has 1800 km on it . Another thing that i'm concernded with is the factory warrenty being void if I go with a custom tune. I not sure if ford can find out I have a custom tune if I restore it back too stock before taking it in for any work.

I really wanna pull the trigger on this intake and tune package but just don't wanna ruin the warrenty this early. Thanks
If a dealership can prove that you had tunes and they hurt the truck somehow, then yes the warrantee is void. But I've had no issues with Mike's tunes.
If you do go in to the dealership for work, switch back to stock. They sometimes re-flash the computer, which will wipe out your tune. I'm pretty sure when you plug back in, the programmer will think you have a different truck since the last tune it downloaded is not there, and the programmer will be locked. (They are designed to only be used with one vehicle at a time. If you return your truck to stock using the programmer, it will then allow you to tune another vehicle.)
If you get a CAI, you will want Mike to write the tunes to account for it to get the maximum power. So either get the CAI first, or pay Mike to write new tunes when you do get it.

Awesome thanks for the good info. I do agree though its kinda a hit and miss with the warrenty thing. They have to prove that the tuner was the main reason for the warrenty work, witch is hard to do in most cases.

I plan on buying the package with the Afe intake as I'd like the lidded top for extra protection from dust and what not. Sounds like Im getting ahold of Mike at 5Star and ordering up my new intake and tune. Can't wait. Should go awesome with my already installed Magnaflow cat-back exhaust.

Thanks again

Look into the outer wear cover for the CAI when you get it. Keeps it very clean and looks good.

That out wear cover, thats just something that goes over the exposed filter to help protect it? I'v never seen one so just trying to picture what it does. Is it at all restrictive?
