5 Star tuner
#22
So I ordered a iTSX and am using the andriod app. It will connect to the unit and everything but when I try to tune i get a message saying "Programming Unsuccessful vehicle unsupported" when my vehicle is obviously supported. I talked to SCT before purchase. I have a 2013 5.0L. Has anyone seen this? What is the most up to date firmware? I checked the updater already as well and it said my unit is up to date.

Mike, I don't think you can go wrong with either. I personally have an SCT with 5stars tunes. As soon as I received my SCT I emailed Mike at 5star and he emailed my custom tunes within 2 hours. Helpful guy and quick to answer his email. I went with 87 perf/tow, 93 perf/tow and 93 perf only. I've been running the 93 perf only for 5 or so days now and have taken my truck mudding and dirt trails w/o a hiccup. The truck is so responsive it's crazy. The shifts are nice and firm on heavy acceleration (but not jumpy by any means) and smooth as silk when I'm taking it slow. My truck also seems to coast a lot farther than before, maybe that's just me.
Goodluck!

Anybody notice a mpg drop with the 87 P/T tune? I lost 1 mpg empty and over 2 mpg towing. Averaged 8.7 mpg towing my snowmobile trailer for almost 600 miles. Gotta do it again this weekend and I'm thinking about going back to stock.
