I cant blame the tune for that, I think its either a carbon issue or timing, but ford says its fine.
I had to have my O2 sensors changed out due to the fuel trim being pinned. Might want to get your dealership to check that out. They were pretty dirty.

Mike at 5 Star sent me the revised 87pt tune to test today, it definitely worked and all I can say is wow! Really woke the truck up and worth the wait, I guess I'm just a little impatient... Now to install my Snow Performance Meth Kit this weekend and it's on like Donkey Kong. I can't wait to see what the 93 perf tune and 100% meth can do!!

My strategy code is KGCTAA6. I have no idea how to decipher the different generations. The 91 perf tune is a noticeably different tune than the p/t tunes. I'm sure you will enjoy the 93 perf.

Me either, I was just wondering if anyone had the same on as me. I bought the truck a month ago 2013 Lariat Screw 50k miles and I think they flashed it the day I bought it, I could definitely tell a difference in power from test drive to driving it off of the lot... That's why I was so impatient about tune, I wanted that power back.

I sent mike my request for my tunes to be swapped to LiveWire last night at 2230 and had them in my inbox when I woke up at 0700!! Now that's the customer service I've been hearing about time after time...

I would certainly recommend to look no further if you want great tunes and customer service!!!

I could easily loose my buddy's 14 6.2 Silverado on long steep uphill grades when he was following me with a similar setup. I also do feel putting 93 octane in with the 87tune does increase the performance. The throttle response is very similar to the 91pt tune

What would be the benefit of using 91 or 93 octane with an 87 octane tune? I feel like if you are going to use the higher octane gas you might as well use the higher octane tune...
Would that just apply to someone who only has the 87 tune?

I fill up with 92 octane and I just loaded the 91 Octane Performance/Tow tune from 5 Star on my 2011 Ecoboost. I really didn't notice as much a difference from the stock tune as I was hoping. I also have the 87 Octane Performance/Tow tune and decided to give that a try. I almost feel like I noticed more power from the 87 tune. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

The benefit of running a higher octane gas than the tune is for a safety cushion, less chance of detonation or problems if you happen to get some crappy gas.

I definitely feel a difference between my 87 p/t tune and my 91 p/t tune and of course an even bigger difference from the p/t to the performance tunes.
I've heard of guys saying their 89 p /t tunes felt stronger than their 91 p /t tunes before.
Maybe it's the fuel being used, if not super great will pull more timing running the same octane as the tune. I don't know though, just my guess.

The benefit is the same as with the stock tune, about 20 more HP and 10 more torque. I did it (ran 87 tunes with premium gas) as a safety margin plus I tow a lot and Ford says to use premium when towing.

For the guys with Ecoboost, what are you seeing for KR, as far as spikes?
Light throttle.

I'm running the 91p/t right now in my 2013. I fill up with 93 octane. On part throttle cruise my truck sometimes pegs 7.99 and sometime goes full the other way with -4.99. Sometimes it stays low. (Around -2 to 2). Kinda all over the place. Not sure what causes the high spikes but I don't really worry about it. At WOT my knock is around 1.5 then degrades.
