5 Star Ecoboost Tune Reviews
#1081
Well, I contacted Mike at 5-Star today and he said that he has never seen the issue before and he has no idea what would cause it. I suppose that I can reload the tune and then datalog if it happens again. The only thing is that I'm not too sure that it's good for the engine when it's acting that way...

Thats not bad at all... Thanks for the info! I was very happy about getting a new truck but depressed over the choice of warranty or go faster! I like the choice to have both! I will be calling them. I'm on their site now looking at their power pkg of SCT Tuner with 6 tunes,AFE Dual filter intake and Flo-Pro exhaust. I think the 87p/t tune would be fine for me. Any ideas of the total hp/tq rwhp from that combo?

I asked this on the other forum and think I got my answer but just thought I would ask here. Lately (I am assuming from cold weather causing dense air) my boost has been maxing out at 16.5psi, it used to be around 18. Anyone else experience this in colder climate?

Our weather in Vermont hasn't been that cold yet, but fuel mileage dropped off about 3 weeks ago. Winter gas started rolling out in early October. Coincidence? I think not.
In honor of the occasion I always run higher octane than my tune calls for. 87 tune, 89 and up for gas.

Yup, just loaded the 87 tune the other day, I will still run 91 in it.

Thank you. I'm going to pull all of my plugs and check them (although it does seem to run fine on the stock tune) and then I'll reload the 87 Tow/Perf tune. If it starts acting up again, I'll datalog and send it your way.
