5.0L Owners with MPT Tunes

Koolponycar whatever avenue you choose you can always download a tune from someone else later on to switch things up a bit. I started off with a base SCT tuner and then downloaded tunes from a few different tuners later on. You could get the 5* package and then download a MPT tune later on whenever you want. Or vise versa.

Thanks JasonNez, I read on MPT's site that the X4 will hold up to 10 custom tunes. That would allow to do what you stated about having different vendors tunes loaded.

I ordered the x4 from MPT today. I'm going to regear from 3.31 to 3.73 in the next week or two. I kinda want to play with the custom tunes before regearing just to mark the differences along the way. I'm excited! Time to wake this pig up!

Wake it you will young padawan. I have 5* in multiple octanes and 1 race tune 93 from MPT all on the same tuner and so far have run most all of them, but I'm stuck on MPT race right now for a couple reasons, the shift strategy reminds me of when we would put shift kits in trannies back in the day, make em bark the rear tire when it shifts 1-2, for around town driving just press the tow/haul button and it tames the shift points to something better suited, still shifts firm and fast (no clutch slippage) between gears but doesn't hold each gear as long so your not winding out the rpm's at 30-50mph.

Looks like I have found a tuner for the Expy and my future F150! I may get a 87 performance tune for the Expy now, but will surely be getting a tow tune for it. Guess I don't need to sell the SCT XCal2 from the 6.0 PSD afterall.

MPT just sent me the tunes one day ahead of schedule! They shipped the tuner out super quick too. I'm going to upload them and report back!

I loaded the 87 octane performance street tune first. I haven't driven the truck yet.
This was my first time using an SCT tuner and it was super easy. The SCT x4 really is a nice device. It's smaller and lighter than I would have expected even after looking at lots of pics online.
I'll report back after I get some miles onto it. The instructions say to take it easy and avoid WOT for the first 50-75 miles while the truck learns the tune.

5.0 mpt 93 engine chatter
i have two mpt 87 octane tunes one chill one street and they work great not much more power but throttle response is better. I used up most of my gas maybe 50 miles left and filled up with 93 and changed my tune over to 93 street. now i have engine chatter from 1000-2000 rpms. could this be from the little bit of 87 left in the tank
