This is sort of weird - first, this is the first 80+ page thread I've ever really read all the way through (lot of interesting development work over the last 5 years). But now the thread has been cold for 7 months - what happened???
I'm a relatively new owner of a 2011 5.0 F150 and want to do something for my truck to keep the "gunk" out of my intake. The UPR unit was taking leaps and bounds in development through the first of 2016 - where does it stand now? I see a lot of different UPR catch cans out there for sale but I want the one with all the latest development work in it. Is Joe from UPR still monitoring the forum and if so, what is the latest version?
Just an interesting side note, I ride a 1300 V Star and several years ago I modified the crankcase breather to stop it from farting into the air cleaner and coating my air filters with oil/slime. This is pretty much the same concept, just a much more elaborate method.
Looking forward to hearing where the catch can stands today...

Lifetime catch: 24oz of crud, 26,xxx miles on the odometer. 2014 UPR can w/ expansion piece and diffuser. The kit was installed at the engine block at 650miles and relocated in front of the radiator w/ long hoses at 5k miles to be more effective.
Relocating it to the front is the reason it started working very effectively. Manifold intake stays dry now, w/very little buildup on TB

thanks for people tracking this. I just picked up a 2011 with 5.0 and already used 1/2 quart or more in 3,000 miles. I found this catch can on Craigslist from a local speed shop. They took it off a customers Mustang, he left it there, so they sold it. Paid $40! After my first 25 miles here is what's in it already.
