Great point and it is what it is. I'm sure the manufacturers have a solution around the corner for future production vehicles but it's not here yet. If you own a direct injection vehicle manufactured before the solution is implemented, you can benefit from a catch can. It's certainly worth the spend and effort to drain and dispose of what they catch. Your wallet will thank you in the long run. UPR makes a great product with excellent fit and finish.

Hey guys I have the newest style catch can that I'll be putting up for sale in the marketplace this weekend. I've decided I'm not going to keep my truck long enough to warrant the purchase. I'd rather pass the savings on to one of you guys rather than pay the 20% restocking fee.

There has never been any claims of improved fuel economy from what I have read but this will help your intake from getting coated with oil and residue which will DECREASE your fuel economy. So it is about maintaining your economy, not improving it.

Not sure why you keep coming into this thread to discredit the product. If you don't think it is worthwhile, don't use it. I have just ordered mine.

I went to order it and then started to read about the new version versus the older one. I was going to buy his but it's only $20 less than from Stage 3 so I ordered a new one from them today.

I thought the one that was posted was the new version?? Whats the part # on the new one? Does Stage 3 give a forum discount? I had posted this question before and got no response. I also PM'ed the vendor that posted here about forum discounts and heard nothing.

Which style should I look into buying for my 2014 5.0?

This one...http://www.uprproducts.com/ford-truc...tor-50-11.html

Or this one...http://www.uprproducts.com/ford-f150...oboost-11.html

Truck is daily driven will be anywhere from 15,000 to 20,000 miles a year. Sitting at 5,000 right now.

Thanks!

I have a 2014 5.0L and put the JLT oil catch can on mine the day I bought it. I only have 1700 miles on it now but have checked and cleaned the can about 5 times so far. Every time it looks like the pictures attached. It looks like brass particles. I changed the oil at 1K and cut open the oil filter to find it clean. I have read on Mustang forums where others were having the same results. The motor is stock with no tunes. I was hoping the amount would decrease the more I run it but that's not the case. The metal in these pictures are after about 200 miles after the last cleaning.
