Strange I can see both. Yes the second picture shows about 2 oz or so of oil in the catch can.

might be my work blocking the pic. Ill check it out later at home.

either way Ill prolly go with this catch can. I had one on mine before, but it was for a Camaro which has 3/8" pcv lines not 5/8. So i had reducers on the lines. I dont think it worked well.

I just ordered the UPR catch can. Should have it in a few days.

AF - thanks for the tip that Jeg's sells an air/oil separator. I like the clear glass in the interest of visually monitoring how much oil has accumulated.

Jeg's separator + 5' of 3/8" fuel line + 2 x 90 degree 1/4" NPT to 3/8" hose barb fittings (it comes with straight fittings) came to 65 bucks shipped. Not too shabby. I hope that everything arrives by Friday so that I can install this weekend.

I checked the can today after about 250 miles of in-town(alot of stop lights)and it was about 1/4 full.If every 5.0 does this then I could see why some people mention excessive oil usage.

I know it's not much, but do you guys that are catching your oil, are you putting it back into the engine? I know it would be the same loss as if it continued from the valve cover to the intake, and subsequently burned up in the combustion chamber.

I don't really see any negative effects, unless you get dirt in the collection can.

Or are you dumping it? (in an epa approved way LOL)

really shouldn't put it back in your engine. I'm gonna check mine out tonight. I have put about 500 miles or so on mine.
