Default 5.0 Turbocharger Kit!

Hey guys!
if anyone has looked at the internet lately, you may have seen the 5.0 mustang twin turbo that hit 206mph and 800rwhp. I was wondering if anyone has heard of a kit that i could put on my truck to get some extra ponies and put some ecoboosts and 6.2s to shame. I really want a turbo, but not a supercharger due to the mpg drop that a super would put my truck thru.

Hennessey makes a TT kit for the Raptor. With a little ingenuity, you should be able to make it fit on a 5.0 F150.

Adapting a Hellion kit should be pretty easy - they sell just parts as well.

Heat is the only thing I come up with. I'd use them for parts and build my own. Remote twins at the end of long tubes is probably how I'd do it.

If heat is an issue the spot they placed the turbo is going to melt the front bumper lol.

John Urist is a personal friend of mine. He truly lives up to the "Fireball" name! he's built some beast mustangs... The Hellion kits are mighty popular in Alb...

Not on a 5.0l. There is so much air moving already. STS runs them in place of mufflers with no lag so 6 feet closer will be fine.

Lag has more to do with turbo sizing than distance away from the cylinder. I've seen a rear mount system with a properly sized turbo (possibly on the small side) boost faster than a front mount system with an oversized turbo. You're disregarding the most important parameter of a turbo system, the A/R.
