Default 5.0 Replacement Motors (Trying to Find One)

Trying to find a replacement truck motor for the 2011+ F-150 (clearly).

Been on google trying to find places to buy a motor pulled out of a recked F-150. So far I have found Car-part.com.

Mileage isn't a concern for me personally, just a running motor as cheap as possible. Found one listed for $1300.00 but was sold by the time I called.

Thanks for you help. Figured this is the best way to find a truck motor since my google search is coming up empty. I truly would like to find one close to me so I can pick it up.

This motor is for a project I am working on. Since the differences between the mustang 5.0 and F-150 are very minor.

Not that minor in the differences. 5.0 more hp upper rpms. Truck less hp,for more midrange. Used 5.4 would be cheaper?

Very minor differences. Cams are next to nothing and a dime a dozen.

For the price difference, the truck motor will work great for what I need.

5.4 2v or 3v would be cheaper. 5.4 4v not so much. 5.4 simply won't achieve my goals for the project.

I once seen a 5.4 DOHC from a Navi with a Vortech blower on it that made some serious power and was pieced together for $1500 (especially seeing as the Navigator motors aren't big sellers in junkyards) just sayin'..... Would be sweet in an older 150. Tell us more about your project.

The project at hand involves my foxbody. The plan is to drop in a 5.0 4V motor into my car with some sort of boost, where it be a Procharger or Twin turbos with flipped truck exhaust manifolds (seeing as the fastest F-150 5.0 4V runs stock manifolds). The motor will be sent to MPR in Florida (two hours from me) where the shortblock will be built to handle roughly 1000 hp and the heads gone through to ensure everything will handle the boost. In all reality the car should make about 550 rwhp on 7 p.s.i. for the procharger, obviously multiple facts have a play in achieving that particular goal. At the end of the day when I put a six speed in the car I would like to achieve 30 m.p.g. and be able to make a 9 second pass.

Thanks I appreciate the help, I'll give craigslist a shot in my area. I happen to be a little far away from Texas.

I just wanted to let you know that we have some great 5.0L shortblock and longblock engines built anywhere from stock replacement, or custom mild to wild packages. Feel free to give us a call or PM with your information if you would like and we can send you an estimate. We can set it up for either a complete engine or using your components if still in usable condition.
