Keeping the truck I take it or getting rid of everything and going 15'?

If MPT is telling you that turbo are easier on the engine than a blower they are blowing smoke up your ***. The reason blowers are more likely to pop an engine is due to sudden lean conditions associated with instant boost and the tune more being set right for it.

What I see missing from your setup with water/meth or another way to cool the intake charge. High intake temperatures will be a problem with a turbo as well so you should think about that during the build. Think about why you melted your piston down, it didn't look like a defect to me, it was too hot and or ran too lean.

If I had the cash that would be a perfect setup for my Comet I'm building.

Odd, my fully dressed 4wd screw weighed 5610 with I think it was 1/8 tank of fuel and 6000 flat with subs, me, the old lady, two young kids and dog in it on a certified scale.

Killer deal for anyone looking to go blower, just change out the pulley if on a stock engine.

yea, I am starting to question the accuracy of the scale I use. I was reading Car and Driver's test of the new expedition vs. new tahoe camparison and it says both of those trucks have a curb weight less than my truck. I just find it hard to believe that a fully loaded, (platinum ed) full size 4wd SUV with IRS weighs less than my ex-cab pick up with cloth seats and not many options.
I think a trip to my local CAT scale is in my future.

Took my Supercab 2WD on 18" stocks with drag radials, no spare, it weighed in at 5,180 without me in it.
