The 9.75 rear end is plenty strong enough....

There are 9sec Lightnings running a 9.75" rearends. My old truck lifted on 38X15.50 with 4.56s in a 9.76" would pull 2.08 60' at the track and after 110K miles still going strong.

MPT has mt that they use on their ecoboost. I'll use those and not sure on size. Believe it's the same as my 305 45 18s. Yes I'm concerned about breaking something. My boy just broke his axle on his 2013 f150 5.0 sc 555rwhp so yes a little nervous. But will take it slow at first

Congrats! You guys in these heavy trucks are killing it. Makes me want to find the time to get this turbo on and see what I can do being 1000lbs lighter.

Man I told you those Nitto's would not cut it. Personally I think some Hoosiers or M&H cheaters would be better as they flex like a slick, whereas the Mickeys don't give much and just stick.

How do you break a solid Ford axle? I thought they were bullet proof. Wheel hop?

Yep you were right on those tires. But when I put in only 14psi and warmed them up real good they gripped much better. My boy was at the track two weeks ago. Track was sticky and snap his axle. He's pushing 555rwhp. I'll send a pic in a sec

Where is that breaking at?

Is this the rear axle about where the axle tube goes into the pumpkin? Might be time to have that tube welded solid.

We do that on our half ton mud race trucks. Or we have a broken axle hoard, on our 10 bolt GM's

Dang! I thought I wouldn't have to worry about breaking axles anymore when I sold my Honda.
