This thread may answer some questions as to why some tune only rcsb trucks run low 13s at 100+ and some like the above truck run 14s @ 95.

I would think the gearing plays a factor. My truck has the optional 3.55 axle. Even with just a Roush intake, WOT downshift to first scratches the tires and the one/two shift will also scratch the tires. I am running 265/50-20's. With the Roush supercharger I am sure it would take a pretty well modded Lightning to out run it.....

My thoughts are that the variance in tuned 5.0 times is about as wide as the mpg with the Ecoboost. I thought maybe 5.0 guys might have a clue.

I am almost positive that my problem is my 3.31s.








......and that I forgot to turn off the speed limiter. Was set at 95. Once the track opens back up I'm going to run my JLP e85 tune which has the limiter disabled.
