I have been looking for a thread for this and haven't found it. So I'm guessing it doesnt't exist. I just bought a used(13,250miles) F150 XLT 5.0. And I know this engine has a hell of a lot more power behind it. What mods are out there for us to do? Wanting a quick thread for 5.0 guys/gals to be able to read and learn from people who have done for example a Cold air intake, or an exhaust and what they think of it. Maybe with enough info it can be made into a sticky! Thanks in advance.

do we get the boss intake manifold for Our trucks? and mustang throttle body? for 2011+ ??

Yes, the boss intake manifold can be installed. Larger throttle body does very little for the 5.0 unless you are supercharged, and the only f150 SC kit comes with a special throttle just for it. Everything else in that list is dead on as far as bolt ons go. You could go full out with ported/polished heads, custom cams, and nitrous but that's getting in the deep end of things where very few have gone.

where do we find the boss intake manifold? whats the best exhaust for it, and the best programmer??
I recently purchased an 11 F150 5.0, love the truck, just want more power that i know it can deliver

Just a fyi there is a tsb out there for 5.0's with programmers installed. Been hearing about 5.0's shooting rods out the block with a tuner.

I would like to see some more info about this. Just using a tuner isn't a problem, using a tune from a company that doesn't know what their doing or adding a tune setup for different mods than what are on your vehicle are what causes problems.

The only 5.0's i have heard of failing are in mustangs with tuners pushing it too far.
Go to 5startuning.com he has everything you need. Boss intake headers cold air intake and of course a good safe tune. He won't let you down.
