Default 5.0 nitrous tune?

Anybody know if any of the custom tune companies can do a nitrous tune? I plan on running 75hp shot, only at the track. Would like to use a tuner familiar with the F150 5.0 before just having one of the mustang tuners send me a tune.

Use your sct tuner and pull a couple degrees of timing. at 75, you might not even need to pull any. Otherwise use a big name tuner like AED, LUND, etc to get it tuned.

I wondered about just using my tuner to take some timing out but didn't know if that would be enough since I'm running a custom tune already with the Boss manifold.

Ya I used to run a nice size shot on my old truck and my really reputable gm tuner told me that up to the 75 shot I wouldn't need to pull any timing... But to be safe I would just pull one degree and listen for pinging, if so let out... Also make sure to watch your air fuel... Mine used to run a 12.5-12.7 on the gas and I ran about a bottle to 2 bottles a week. Be careful it's addicting lol

Some other things need to be changed in the tune also, besides timing...Get with a reputable tuner and have it done right.

Look up all the other vehicles running 75 shots on stock vehicles... I ran mine a bit untuned but when I jumped up to the 200 it definitely needed tuning.

IMHO 75 shot requires no modifications with a wet shot, just make sure to check your plugs after your runs to look for detonation.
You'll get greedy though, most V8's can take a 150 shot without much work, just some colder pugs and take out 2-3 degrees of timing. I ran a 175 shot on my Impala SS with stock LT1 for years before I finally lost the motor.

We pretty much have the same set-up.. What quarter mile times are you looking for?
