I've pretty much decided that I'm going with MPT as soon as my X4 arrives. Hoping to do a 91 performance tune with "street" shifting.

I'm running MPT 93 Performance with "street" shifting. Be prepared to feel the gears changes. It feels very sporty, especially on high rpm shifts. Just letting you know.

I've been thinking about ordering a 87 performance tune with "chill" shifting.

Deuce, let us know how the x4 is! I have the chill shift profile and it is rather solid. I suspect Bennyboy is right about the street shifting being a little harsh for daily use. BTW I am getting 19.6 MPG after 350 miles of the tune. This is with the original 93/87 octane mix. Very happy overall.

Thanks for the heads up on the shifting firmness. I may just go with the "chill" I assume it's still a nice improvement over stock?

MPT took the lethargic feel out of my '07 5.4....truck feels lighter and quicker on its feet than with the tunes from other vendors I have tried.

when downshifting to a stop does your truck downshift 3-2-1 or does it hold 3rd until you hit the 1st gear threshold? I've noticed with my SCT canned tune it will go 3-2-1 and cause a small lurch which is kind of aggravating.

I did not notice any lurching, but I guess it depends how you use the brake. If you just coast, then the downshifting is subtle. Side note- the other day I was on the interstate in 6th gear and out of no where my truck downshifted to 3rd. This has happened before the tune as well. kinda weird

with the SCT canned it happens whether im on the brakes or coasting. If you don't mind, could you check and see?

So far I have net felt that lurching when braking heavy, lightly, or coasting.
