Yes you can feel 10hp in a 2011 F150 5.0 with a 3:31 gear. I can. Feels kinda like how responsive it is on a cool morning. . . Not earth shattering and certainly not worth the extra cost (lower mileage). I had a 2010 F150 Scab with the 4.6 3v motor and traded it for a 2011 Mustand 6 spd manual with the 3.7 V6 then couldn't stand it and traded for another F150 only with the 5.0 only with the 3:31 gear vs the 3:55 I had in the 10. Everything else is identical for the most part.
The 2010 was a fine pickup at 14-17mpg but this 11 with the 5.0 is wonderful at 20mpg on my very first tank...... Now at 1500 miles I'm getting 18-19.
I have more to say I'll start a thread. . . Love this truck.

I did notice some difference when I switched to E85, especially when towing. While I get 2-3 AVG MPG less on E85, the lower price of E85 vs. gas makes it similar in cost, not enough to notice in my opinion. Also I've noticed that my MPG's don't drop as much towing with E85 as they did with gas.

One time, I dropped the exhaust on my race car and drove it around to see if there was a difference in power. It was much louder, but I couldn't feel anything. I eventually put it on the dyno and found that dropping the exhaust added an honest 40 rwhp. Ever since then, I don't trust the SOTP gauge for small increases. However, I can honestly say that I can feel 100 rwhp, even 65, but definitely not 10.
