Default 5.0 codes p0349 and 0345?!

I pulled the codes and saw the CPS on both banks are showing as malfunctioning. The motor at low rpm sounds like there are rocks in the motor, and it's really been down on power. What would cause this to go out? At the dealer now...

I haven't seen this on the 5.0 before. Seems really odd that both sensors would go at the same time, usually that points to a different problem other than the sensors. Maybe a pinched/lose wire somewhere, bad ecu, or more likely a problem with another electrical component like the alternator causing the issue. Check out this link:

Well they should have replaced both, but I'm pretty sure it's not the sensors. Did you read that link I posted? It talked about how the alternator could cause interference.

Yeah I glanced at it, a bit over my head if I'm honest. The truck bogs down in the lower rpms badly.

I know this is old and you’re probably not on here anymore but did you ever figure this out? I have the same exact problem now.

I replaced Camshaft position sensor and it fixed it.

its not fun to replace, I actually sent it to the shop because I didn’t have a small enough tool to squeeze in between the firewall and back of the motor.
