3000 or 5000 miles
What interval do you have your oil changed? 3000 or 5000 miles? I talked to two different service managers and they gave me different recommendations! SAME DEALERSHIP! On all my previous vehicles I have gone with 5000 miles. Now I have the EcoBoost, let's hear your opinion! Thanks!

EcoBoost says 10k for oil changes. I just rolled 5k this weekend so I decided to get the first oil change done today. I'll do it again at 10k then 10k after that. I plan to do it via the dealer so they have a full service history on the truck.
My service writer didn't even know what the interval was.

I know I'm at 1000 miles on my EB and the oil life monitor says 90%. It seems a little excessive to run 10k miles before the first oil change. I will probably go every 5k at least on the first couple.

I have 5600 miles on the Truck and the Info center reads OIL LIFE 48% left..With unleded fuel, synthetic oils, hi tech oil filters...10k miles on an oil change seams possible..

I know new age technology has changed things a lot but im still going to change mine at 3000. I havent had a new vehicle for a long time and i really want this thing to last.
I dont want this to turn into a silly debate, this is just what im going to do. What oil are you guys using? Im gonna try 5w-30 mobil 1 syn.

The dealer scheduled my first free oil change at 4 months out regardless of miles (unless I was a realtor and already had the oil life indicator drop to 0%). At my rate, I will be around 5K. After that, I will go by the oil life indicator. I am aiming for 10k changes. Yearly visits to the dealer seem about right.

Five-0 Ret.
Went 3000 on the first change, and will be doing every 5000 using what the dealer suggest. A syn. blend. This is what the mechanic who's worked for the dealer 40 years suggest. I'm good with that.
