Default 3.7L Tuner?

Is a tuner for the 3.7L V6 worth the money?

If I thought one was worthy enough for my 4.0 liter mustang, one is certainly worth it for a capable engine such as the 3.7. I used to work at a local ford dealership (worst in west Texas my i add) and had the opportunity to drive many vehicles including all f150's. I loved swinging for that 7000 rpm redline when I test drove them and they still pull like a freight train. In the tiny single cab, short bed pickups they run like a mad ape on fire.

My guess is that you would have been better off spending your "tuner money" on a 5.0.

Haha no way, the father in law has a 5.0. Rides just like the 3.7L but about 7-9 MPG less.

I've wondered this too. All this talk of 1-2MPG more is alluring. Couldn't fathom 19-20MPG city in my truck!
