3.7 Engine Durability - No Luddites Please!
#21
I have run a 100 hundred hour driving test, large city express and small town stop and go. The 3.7 is averaging 1.333 gals per running hour with this usage, usually hauling at least 700 lbs, never going over 65 mph while averaging less than 33 mph. It is the cheapest running truck I have ever owned. Clearly designed to be the budgeted cross town hauler. The everyday driver. With a driver usage aproaching 20 hours per tank. Taking the truck to the windy 70 mph + Interstate cost in mileage, and the 5.L would compete in that area nicely.

I know this is an old thread, but after 62,000kms (38,500 miles) l haven't have any problems at all with the truck or the drivetrain. Durability gets
