Default 3.7 1/4 mile results

Since my last post I took my f150 back to the track to get some more baseline numbers. Its a single cab with stock 3.55 gears and everything else stock. Still has the paper tag on the back. I only had about 6 gallons of e85 in and ran a 15.5. I was shocked as hell. Idk how it ran so good I thought theses trucks ran best of 15.9s stock. wish i had a vid to post. Does anyone know of any programmers out for these trucks?

It makes sense, considering the power. In better weather, I think it'll go even faster.

5startuning does some 3.7 stuff and they are supporting vendors. I think they have tunes.

Cool

Haven't there been posts of mid-low 15 sec 6.2 and EB trucks? Looks like on the street it's a drivers race, not saying that there's anybody street racing.

his 87 perf/tow tune is awesome once you install it. the 91 perf/tow tune is a very nice steup above the 87 stuff. i love it.

The 3.7 is flex fuel capable - so I would expect that Ford programmed the PCM to recognize that its got 105 octane fuel and to run accordingly

According to superchips, they have the most power gains for the 3.7. I did my research. Most tuners, both custom and canned, say they can get around 30 hp and 25 tq. Superchips claims 44 hp and 28 tq with an 87 tune. Seems a bit high to me.

I never trust claims like that. 5star seems more plausible, though, because they actually post the before/after curves. Even Injen was claiming huge gains from their CAI on the EB, but it turns out they weren't peak gains.

when you go to his site and he only has a bunch of stuff on the 5.0. however he does state he can tune the 3.7.

give him a call and i'm sure he'll hook you up with a tuner for your truck. i mean hell, he did with me.

just grab your pcm code off of your truck before you call him.

hes such a great guy, i called him in the morning and he mailed me the tuner the same day and i had it the next day. it only cost me another 20 dollars for him to overnight it to me.

i love my 3.7 tuner.
