That could be, but I have had my truck reflashed twice plus disconnected the battery that very morning (I assumed that caused a relearning since my tranny felt very sluggish afterwords, but it could very well not). It has never shifted that smoothly, and to that low of a gear with that little of throttle. I really like how it didn't downshift 1 gear at a time like it usually does.

Anyone else with this update notice a change in the powerband? Either they reduced a little power on the bottom end or gained some in the top. But it now seems to have a little kick in the pants power around 4000rpm. Before anything over 4000rpm it felt like it was losing power but now it feels like that is where the power comes in. Wish I had a dyno near by.

I had the PCM update a few weeks ago for a different issue (battery management system problems). 4 days later I jumped on the throttle to pass someone one the highway and got the full limp mode with the wrench and check engine light displayed.
Was fairly humid, just under 0 degrees Celsius. Code p0306 was set. Brought it to the dealer, they said they had a fix for it. Turned out the fix was the same PCM update and removal of the air deflector plates. I said that I already had the PCM update, and they said that sine the deflector plates weren't removed, that's likely why it happened.
If I'm not mistaken, the purpose of the plates is to reduce the efficiency of the cac. So if this is the case, I shouldn't generate as much water. Couple this with the PCM update and the engine should be able to manage any water from the cac??
Long story short, I'm not convinced this is the fix we were looking for.

2013 ecoboost checking in. I recently had the misfire and took my truck into the dealership for the new TSB. They removed the air deflectors and reflashed the PCM. Unfortunately it will be going back in the shop later today for the same problem. This TSB didn't fix a damn thing.
