2013 eb 3:31 here. Went to the dealer today to discuss a sync update. Then somehow in the conversation TSB 14-0017 came up. After a short discussion I decided against scheduling my truck for the TSB even if the service center was willing to do it. Only 6k on the truck and never had an issue I don't want to induce a problem. I have decided against drilling my cac as well. However I am not a fan of the gunk the catch can is collecting. As a preventive measure I can't see the Catch can doing any harm. Can somebody tell me at what mileage I should pull the IC to inspect and clean it. TIA.

You can get an indication by removing the BOV tube from it and seeing what comes out ? It is a 1 1/8" grey quick disconnect.

Correct. I urge any that are concerned to do this. Pretty simple and then you know without a doubt whats taking place. Please take pictures to post back and update us.

Looks like step 3 would keep this TSB from being applied and seems to keep it pretty strict.

Had it big-time with my '11 and once with this '13, built 12/7/12. I don't want to feel the problem and would like to be proactive here - any tips?

I vented my BOV a couple weeks ago. I don't remember anything coming out of it....should I had seen something coming out? I just disconnected the the hose at both ends. I bought a rubber 1 1/8 inch chair leg end and stuck it on the intake tube hole. Held it on with a strap clamp.

The dealer did this on my truck last weekend. I had only experienced the loss of power twice, in the rain both times.

Re-flashed
Pulled the CAC and drained
Removed the shield

I've never had the stumble issue, but even before having the latest factory PCM calibration, I had my foot into the throttle and the turbo's spooled up often. Latest calibration (and most aftermarket tunes) make more boost with less throttle position, so the short answer is latest PCM update or not, EcoBoost engines like to be driven in BOOST, not ECO, which works out fine for me...
Sorry for being dumb but can anyone explain where the second cover is supposed to be? I just cant picture in my head where it goes.
