Do the calcs by hand. That'll be the most accurate measurement, assuming you have stock tires and rims.

Repost your next tank and see how the numbers compare. Still that's impressive and makes sense overall since I've got a buddy with a 3.33 SCAB 4x4 though that has hit as high as 23.1 at 65 mph. He said the calcs by hand matched that time, but generally his is off by 0.2-0.3 mpg.

Wish my SCREW was up there, still at 16.5 avg. Mine is generally pretty close, but off as much as 0.5 mpg.

I can get this average in my 4x4 screw also if I wait till the motor is warmed up and I'm on the hwy cruising at 60. A cold engine, city driving, and getting up to speed kill the mpgs.

Look closely at his speedo---he is doing about 68 mph. I seriously doubt anyone with a 4X4 without a tuner is getting this good of mileage.

Yeah, I saw that. I agree, that's why I said I'd have to do 60 or even 55.

And...?
He was only stating what hes able to do at a certain speed. Not sure why you felt the need to call him out.

He says he can get it ( the mileage) @ 60 mph. 68 is substantially faster so substantially better mileage accordingly....................

I did not feel that I was "calling him out". Only made a statement as to his statement based on how I absorbed it. If he had said "I could only drive 60 or slower to get that", then I would have understood what he was saying. My apologies for misconstruing his statement.

no worries. Its easy to misunderstand peoples' intent in writing. Either way, that's pretty good mileage to get whether its 68 mph or 60 mph with a 4x4. There are people reporting not being able to break 16 mpg doing 55. Crazy

I think that is stupendous mileage. I can achieve 20 on flat ground at 60 but it falls to 18 at 65.

I believe him. I can easily get good mileage if I stay below 70 mph and just cruise.

This pic is from today going from Poth, Tx to SA, Tx(@45 miles) doing roughly 67 mph and hitting three stop lights in two different towns along the way. The way home aslo has four 1-2 degree hills. Not too shabby for a truck that can tow almost 10k pounds, can easliy do 14's in the quarter mile, has plus sized aggressive tires, and a a leveling kit. I also have an airraid intake and a Superchip tuner that corrected my tire size. Overall, I am happy with it.
26 MPG's very possible. Picture is worth a thousand words-poth-sa.jpg

Edit: If you can't read it becuase of my crappy camera. It says 21.4 mpg, updated every 10 minutes. I filled up with E10 and reset in Poth on my way home.
