4000kms, 3 months old and engine starts to tick. Took to the dealer this morning. I was told it may be considered to be normal. If this is the case the dealership will be keeping the truck. Extremely disappointed...

My dealer had my truck for 3 days to tell me the same thing and that they dont here anything wrong? I have listend to other f150 1 year older than mine way more miles same 5.0 and theres does not have the tick/ knocking sound at all you can clearly here my engine o er theres making the noise

Sounds like a loud slap or knock for sure. Is it coming from one side or the other? Put your hand on the covers and see if you can feel it. If not it may be down in the bottom end. I hope you get it resolved as you will have to be persistent.

Everytime I take my truck in they say it's the injectors. Now it's more of a clacking than ticking noise. Should I be worried?

Did they fix your truck or blow you off and tell you its normal? i have been fighting 2 years with a 13 5.0 now has 13,000 sounds like poor oil flow on low idle.

I have been to 2 different dealers. first one started the truck and said its normal and did not make an apt. second one had the truck the whole day drove it 4 miles and returned it saying "its normal" I told them I can hear it in the cab of the truck sometimes. response: well when it does it all the time or gets worse bring it back...
I feel like I have to tear it down find the broken part and then go to the dealer and throw it at them...


2013 F150 5.0 STX 16,000 miles. noise is low on the passenger side. posted videos on my you tube channel. of things I've tried. someone let me know if they find a fix.
