My truck is at Ford getting checked out. Showed them a video and they're gonna look at it. Left a message with my Ford cs manager for the region that it's being looked at so if it comes back and they say it's normal I'd like to know why they all don't sound the same. I'll also ask for a deal on an extended warranty because I do not believe it's normal at all and if they believe it's no problem they should back it up.

Keep us updated. As for me, I purchased the extend warranty when I bought the truck. So if something is going to happen, hopefully it will before 100,000 miles.

Looks like they want to keep it overnight and try listening for a knock with a cold start in the am. The thing is it doesn't happen everytime. Mostly when it was colder. I'm expecting them to send me on my way. Which is nonsense , my brothers 5.0 is quiet. They told me on the phone they can hear the ticking. No problem. So is that gonna get fixed ? Who knows. I'll be following up with the customer service manager if they send me away.

May have to get FCS involved.
I'm here to help, Koolponycar! What's the current mileage on your truck? Please let me know; I'll look into this further.

Just called and got an update. The service guy heard the knock for about 30 seconds then couldn't get it again. So he's been letting it cool down so he can get the shop manager to hear it aswell. So not sure what's gonna happen yet. At least they didn't send me away

Well after hearing it once they couldn't reproduce the sound so told me to hang tight and if it gets worse bring it back. Nothing Ford will do right now about it.
