2014 5.0l vibration while stopped
I have a 2014 FX4 5.0L and I have started to notice a vibration in the floor boards when I am stopped. My truck is in drive and with my foot on the brake I can feel it, same if the truck is in park or reverse and not moving. I don't hear any noise from outside the vehicle. I have taken it to the dealer and they say they are not able to duplicate the problem. They have also said it is because the engine is working hard with all my climate controls and stereo on. Has anyone else had this problem?

Let's get this looked into further, robinstalls. Please send over the current odometer reading; I'll check the available resources.

I believe I know your answer, or at least where they can look for a fix. I used to have a 2009 FX4 and maybe a year or two into owning it I began to experience the vibration problem. It was bad when stopped and bad at around maybe 30 mph. I swore it was the engine. I had it in several times and got the we can't duplicate it story, there is no error code for the engine, we just don't know. I thought I had a lemon. I was as simple as being some loose bolts on a heat shield or skid plate under the truck. Don't remember which. It took an engineer from Detroit on his monthly dealership rounds to figure that out. A loose bolt (or two) is all that causes that. Take your truck to the dealership and tell 'em to tighten the bolts. I would almost bet a paycheck on that being your issue.

Took the truck into to Freedom Ford, turned out I was misfiring on #5,6 and 8. 3 new spark plugs. Have to drive it for a bit and see if that solves the problem. But from now on I will be only going to Freedom Ford for any repairs I may need

So took my truck back to Freedom Ford yesterday and I got a call from the service advisor, they duplicated the problem and are lost as to what is causing it. They are now waiting to hear from a technical engineer as to how to proceed. Just have to wait and see.
