82000 mi on my 5.0 XLT super cab stuttered when I first got it (March 2016) cleaned the throttle body and new plugs. Still flutters on take off occasionally usually when I first start out, but seldom after.

That's what I have heard elsewhere, that it's the huge factory gap....factory is gapping at 3.5 specs for the 5.0....drop it down to .040 from the typical .055 (I think) and it should go away.

I will finally have the time to do this next month...and will report back.

My 13 5.0 Lariat does it occasionally also (19465 miles) TB & MAF sensor have been cleaned. Will check plug gap soon.

Are you guys using the SP 548 Plug? set to .040? for the 5.0?

Sounds like a coil pack problem to me as my 03 did the same stuff changed out all coils now no rough idle powers back!

My 13 Lariat (21500 miles) slightly shudders @ idle in gear when @ normal operation temps too. TB & MAF also clean. Normally use Shell 87 octane. When I use 89 octane absolutely no shudder at all. Have not checked plug gap.
