Tunes on the way.
Wagner CAC to be ordered soon.
That should help make more consistent power during hot weather towing.

Wish I would have tuned my 2012. I would like to see if there is a difference between 2011/2012 tuned vs 2013 tuned. The 2012 was definitely stronger than the 2013 stock. 2013 tuned though is definitely better than the 2012 stock. Not even close.

i have been working with my dealership on my truck. horrible mpgs and it just doenst feel like it is using its full potential. well after 6 months my salesman got involved. he drove the truck the other day and couldn't believe how much more power his 11 EB has than my 13. Trucks are spec'd the same except I have max tow. both have 3.73's.

he had me go back and visit with an actual mechanic and he looked at it yesterday. he thought the turbos were acting funny. He called Ford and they told him everything was fine not to do anything. So now he wants to replace a couple sensors on the truck as he thinks it is running rich. I guess if that helps my mpgs so be it... but what about the power.

my 11 5.0 with 3.73's could pull as good or better than my EB does. I asked him about the 13's getting detuned and he looked at me kind of funny.. almost like he has heard that before.

Either way my truck is a dog and hopefully in a couple months I can trade out of it. Good Luck with yours.

Got my ELM327 tonight and have started logging.
Does anyone know in Torque if you can log the intake air temperature AFTER the CAC?
All the ones I've tried so far are before the turbos....

Food for thought.... I have a Wagner cooler installed on a 2012. The Wagner has three times the volume of the OEM cooler. So, while the air is cooler and the pressure drop is less I found that the increases cooler volume with the smaller turbos on the 11's and 12's actually increases turbo lag or the time build boost. I also have a 73mm tb and afe charge pipe but boost time does not seem to be affected by these as much as the cooler...

Excellent point, one I'm aware of.
I'm not into drags or setting 0-60 times so a little lag doesn't bother me unless it is a noticeable hesitation during normal daily city driving.
How is yours?
A noticable difference city driving?
Does it bother you with the Wagner in?
This is something I'm really wanting to do for the advantages of trailer towing.
Hypocritical :
I logged 0-60 last night several times on the torque app. 7.4 seconds. On the scale last night 6800 pounds.
I should take out some junk....

I got my tunes!
I loaded the SCT canned tune. Set Mike at 5 Star my new strategy.
While I was on my 1/2 hour test drive Mike sent my 5 custom tunes. Holy cow, less than an hour! Service extrodinaire.
Now I'm loading my first custom tune.
Lots of excitement on my end.

So what do you think? First impressions? Please report back and let us know how they are. Big improvement I bet...

I only got a half hour drive on the SCT canned tune, but there was some noticable midrange power and better shifting. Speedometer seemed to go up faster.
Drove the 5* 87p/t for an hour. Mixed city / highway.
Definitely feel this.
Transmission shifting is still adapting but yeeha! I like what it's doing. Proper gear ready more often, more engine braking, holds 6th much better on grades and light acceleration, 2nd gear gets more use.
Engine power : most definitely, beastly in the mid-range, very rapid acceleration thru the gears, holds 6th up a very steep grade at 60 mph like (but better) my 2011 could and this stock 2013 failed.
I can tell right now city mileage is going to improve, doing shifting, boosting, so much better and efficient than original stock setup. I will report my findings much later on city driving as I will be doing my highway trailer towing trip first.
As for trailer towing I can tell this is going to be the best setup I've ever had. All I need is to go prove it. The better shifting and huge mid-range power boost is going to kick butt.
The real test now will be watching what heat soaking the motor towing does to it. Stock sucked when constantly loaded and hot.
After the latest dealer flash update the truck felt better, was better towing, but in the end had no more top end power than new.
The tune has taken it way beyond those minor improvements.
Must tow before final judgement. After market CAC to compliment the tune will be a towing dream come true.

Do you know what your strategy was before and after the last dealer reflash?
