But for this little 3.5 I have no idea. Isn't typical boost about 6 to 9 lbs?
No, boost is a lot higher.
You can read cat temps on the torque app and a bunch more combustion conditions but I haven't found a typical exhaust temp reading as in my diesels.
Gas engines generally have much hotter exhaust temps at light loads, loading both engines heavy helps equalize max temps.
Boost in my stock ecoboost maxes at 17 at around 4500 rpm. Runs about 13 @ 2500, gets up to 8 pretty easy above 1500 and just climbs up to 17 before tapering off to max rpm.
Data logging shows this pretty good on a spreadsheet.

Interesting, thanks.

All warrantied up with 5*.
It removes all the options I enjoyed in favour of a default setting. Probably to avoid tinkering and stressing the power train.
I guess I email for a tune to suit my winter tire size.

I've had my service, ran a few miles, loaded my 87 ptw 5* warrantied tune, loaded up my trailer and went on a drive.
Drove the heck out of it, hard. 300 miles, high speed, hilly terrain, lots of heavy throttle and high fuel consumption.
Have checked my oil level several times in every consistent way possible by an operator and I notice ZERO oil consumption.
No gassy smell, everything seems perfect, no blue smoke after heavy towing etc.
So what was up with the oil consumption on my holidays?
Still breaking in? Extremely long downhills with high vacuum during engine braking? Oil change just went too long and started breaking down?
I will have to monitor further but at least full throttle and long periods of high boost does not seem to be part of the problem.

Perhaps it isn't the hard driving, but rather light driving, cruise control and city traffic?

No, I can drive 5000 miles with empty truck and don't see oil use.
I'll keep monitoring and recording, all I can do at this point.
Hopefully it was just an anomaly the one time.

Yes very strange. Makes me think it isn't a mechanical problem with the engine. Usually it doesn't just fix itself. Maybe it was something like the PCV stuck open for a while and pushing oil into the turbo inlet. I don't know. Seems very odd.

Odd, yes.
Especially now since I romped the heck out of it pulling the same trailer on the same roads and had no oil use, where before I used 1/3 of a liter in the same mileage.
The only change has been an oil change! With same oil being used.

I did have a strange occurance once. It was -40C and I just had an oil change. Truck sat outside all day and I started it with command start. Blue smoke came running out, I quickly shut off my truck. Went in and asked if they had put in synthetic oil, they had forgot to. Always ran synthetic from first oil change, kinda strange that first time it had regular oil in it smoked. Once they dumped the oil and put in synthetic it never smoked again.

Could have been something from the oil change but not sure what they would have done.

I am guessing you never figured out what was actually wrong with your 2013 truck? I really wish you would have. I am having very similar issues. Had to have transmission work done (several times due to leaking) and I think they reflashed the truck at that time. My truck has never been the same. Dealer just says there are no codes and I have the latest update. Nothing they can do. Same exact symptoms though. Poor performance and milage. Was getting 14 city & 18-19 highway. Now getting about 10-11 & 15-16. Towing my boat (7,000 lbs) I went from 10 mpg to 6 mpg. Not all exact figures because obviously it changes every time, but definitely a noticable difference . I use to pull my boat down the interstate at 65 - 70 mph and would hold 6th gear very well. Occasionally drop to 5th. Now runs in 5th drops to 4th and hardly ever goes to 6th unless I let off the gas and trick it into shifting. Then back to 5th with the slightest touch of the pedal.
