Buy the one you get the best deal on. I own an ECO and my unc owns a 5.0. I love riding in his for the v8 sound. He loves riding in mine for the effortless torque. Both are great motors and very mod friendly. Mileage is slightly better in the eco but when towing they equal out. I came from a cummins and the eco tows amazingly diesel like at lighter loads. That being said dont get caught up in all the tow ratings..... its still a half ton truck no matter what motor is pushing it. If you want to tow near the limit get a 3/4 ton.

Buy the 5.0l. Its a well known fact that the Eco will shudder constantly, get 3mpg towing, explode if any condensation is present and they use baby seal blubber to lubricate the turbos. Save the baby seals and get a coyote.

The eco makes you shudder when you step on the gas, which results in 3 mpg and an explosion of fiery adrenalin. You should've been more specific.

I see you ignored the plight of the baby seals.

Go Ecobeast....thing rules! I switched out from a heavily modified Titan and it is a silent monster of power.

If you are SERIOUS about towing, go F250 with the 6.2 motor. For an everyday driver with occasional towing go F150 Eco or 5.0 w/3:73's. For everyday fun - go Ecoboost with the "Afterburner" option.
