Default 2012 EB dyno #'s. Stock and with exhaust.

Ok went to the dyno today it is a dyno dynamics dyno they usually read low. But never the less I got base line #'s of 276rwhp and 352rwtq.

Then I went to exhaust shop next door and we put in 3" pipe from the y back to a 3" in/out Flowmaster super44 and into stock 3" tail pipe that we cut short at the axle. I will post picks and vids of that setup soon.

Ok now back at the dyno with new exhaust it posted 299rwhp and 383rwtq.

now there are 4 pulls on my chart. The red and green are back to back stock pulls and the pink and blue are back to back exhaust.

All pulls where with no cool down and its hot here in Oklahoma.

Also all pulls where in 3rd gear due to hitting speed limiter in 4th.

Great data. Maybe Heartthrob wasn't that far off by advertising 40 rwhp gain. A 4" exhaust with a straight through muffler should do even better. Even this test isn't the most accurate as I'm convinced it takes the truck a couple hundred miles to understand the mod and make the necessary adjustments. After 2,000 miles on my new exhaust, my truck definitely has more snot than it did before.

I thought about doing the heartthrob but I only paid $140 for the system I have now. I cant get a heartthrob kit for that so it was worth the trade off in power.

Now we need a before / after with a 4" setup. I am loving those numbers for just cat back exhaust, and can't wait to get my Joewee3.5 4" setup on in September!

I have heard that the 4" kits will make a little more power but they will also make a little less torque. And on top of that the power band comes in later with 4" kits. Now all that said I have no proof this is just what I have noticed. but Im with you I would like to see a before and after with a 4".

And of course you can beat the price of my kit either.

I'm betting that it is pretty loud especially with it cut at the axle.
