2012 5.0 liter loss of power after cold start
I have a 2012 Ford F 150 STX 4x4 with the 5.0 liter. The outside temp recently has been in the 20's to low 30's and the last couple of times I performed a cold start the engine acted as if it wanted to die when revving to about 1500 rpm's in park. When doing so, the tach will drop to below 500 rpm's and the engine will almost die unless I apply a little more power. The problem goes away once the engine warms up a bit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

funmoneypit150 - Don't rev it up in park and let it warm up normally ...
At start-up the PCM sets the idle RPM slightly higher and puts the fuel mixture to rich mode.
Let the programming do it's thang until IT determines to decrease the idle RPM. MEANING: Keep your foot off the gas pedal.
