2012 5.0 cams

Couldn't find a tuner in 2 years that would touch these without a warning about potential problems.

More overlap is more overlap whether you get it by altering stock cam timing or changing duration. Whatever problems could occur are the same either way. In fact, I would argue you could have way more problems from aftermarket cams than the stock ones. But it's your money....

Sorry I got sent to Iraq and the grind took longer than I expected. Here are the stats
Intakes are .268”cam lift @ 236 050” at cam duration 536” valve lift . 000 “ lash
Exh are .240” cam lift and 232 @ 050” at cam duration .480” valve lift . 000” lash
Now the question is will these fit in the stock heads... Comp Cams assured me all of their cams will fit (I got the most aggressive blower cam for my future blower) but I'm wondering if the custom grind could have made them...'bigger' physically? Hopefully Engineer Mike could answer that, seems like something a master mechanic would know.
Anyways, I get back in a month and plan on doing a before and after dyno, and getting a dyno custom tune with the cams and SW 1 7/8" long tubes.

Honestly, I never would have recommended going that route. There are a myriad of potential issues. First of all, aftermarket cams are notorious for getting the acceleration, jerk, and dynamics wrong. There's no way I would put anything other than ford cams in this motor. Secondly, the retainer/spring/seal combo has a max lift and I think it's less than 13 mm. And finally, some cams require limiting phaser travel. You're kinda in uncharted territory for that.
If I were hell bent on cams, I probably would have used the stock mustang intake cam and gain 20+ hp without any of the above issues. It may help to add the CJ exhaust cam if you are supercharged. The boss intake cam is another to consider.
