Well, if the F350 is what's on the dealers lot, is it a good deal? That's a very nice truck and it sounds like it will suit your needs just fine. Depends on what kind of deal you are getting. If it's not a good deal, there's plenty of great deal out there to be had.

I just couldn't ever see a reason to get a 250 or 350 and no diesel! Just ain't right in my book.

Well, they sell them for a reason. That's what's great about Ford. Many options for different people's needs. For example, some folks would never buy a 2WD truck, others are just fine with it.

If it suits his needs, it's a nice truck!

In that case, why not! Test drive it and buy if you like it.

I know. It's just such a big truck for the 6.2 gasser. I have a 2wd. I kinda didn't know that the 350 even came with the 6.2

It appears it will be a good deal. I need to see what he offers for my 2012. The price he has on the truck he has is right though so time will tell. I love my F150's but the F350 is more versatile for what I need, plowing and the 8' bed. I do like the King Ranch equipment too. Wish it had the center console shift lever placement though. But you never get exactly what you want now do you?

Your welcome to your opinion. If my plan was to constantly haul heavy trailers around then I would agree with you.

That is the plan assuming he offers me enough money for my truck. If not then he can keep it.

Thanks, that's really the point isn't it? We all buy what we need for our expected use. My major goal was to evaluate the 6.2 engine. The rest I can figure out pretty much myself. I even understand why someone would buy nothing but a diesel. But it's not what I want nor do I need the added maintenance costs of a diesel. Costs a fortune to do an oil change on one of them. Unless you do it yourself. As I stated earlier though I'm retiring so I'm not as keen on crawling under the truck to do it myself anymore.

The 6.2L engine is awesome. I know folks swear by their favorite engines, but Ford did good on this one. The version used in the 2011+ Super Duty is slightly de tuned to 385hp/405tq presumably for longevity purposes. Yes, the Diesel engines are more powerful, but the Boss is no slouch.
