Default Weird new issue

So I get my truck back from the dealer last Wednesday for the knock issue. Friday morning I hook up my fishing boat 2500-3000 lbs. Go to start towing and a few miles from home I hear a clunk. I keep driving and a short time later (2-3 miles) there's a vibration in the drivetrain? I pull over and get out and smell something burning from the truck. It's 3:30 in the morning and dark and I don't find anything obvious so on I go. No problems the rest of the day( 90miles total). Now this morning the same thing happens again. Drive maybe 3-5 miles and vibration starts again. Pull over and check more thoroughly this time. What I found is the drivers rear brake is binding and overheating. Now for the strange part. When it happened I tried to accelerate and the engine Rpm's didn't increase with the pedal pressed to the floor. Almost like there was something electronically limiting the engine AND no warning chimes or idiot lights. The truck never did this before and I've towed the same rig about 10,000 of the 48,000 total miles on the truck. I'm thinking a glitch in that traction/ stability control system. Any ideas??

I know out trucks have a torque management that prevents you from over torquing the drivetrain. i have had a wrench to pop up when I went from drive to reverse to fast and the truck wouldn't move so i had to put it in park and turn it off and back on and then the wrench was gone and all was good. Maybe this was part of that.

Dealer checked truck today, can't find anything wrong. I know this won't be easy to find with no trouble codes stored. They hooked up some type of trailer simulator and tried to get it to act up, but no go. I think I'll try turning off traction control next time it acts up and see if that helps? This started after I had it in for the knock issue last week. I asked them if they're electronic testing might of had something to do with this issue popping up. They said they didn't think so. Frustrating.

Well my dealership heard the knock but said it needs to be louder for them to investigate further and thus my truck is normal. They still cannot tell me what the noise is just normal.

I had planned to drive this truck for many more years but not if this uncertainty is normal so farewell Ford.

Good luck everyone and thanks for all the help.

Mine had the knock too prior to me buying it, they put in a new engine and its had a misfire in cyl 2 & 8 ever since. Been to the dealer 3 times in a week, they changed plugs, coils, injectors and updated the pcm. Still has the misfires, they called today to tell me they emailed ford. So im waiting to hear back, just sucks only owned it a week and its spent more time in fords drive way than mine.

Update/edit
got the truck back this afternoon, they did a neutral misfire relearn. Said drive it and watch it.
