2011 EcoBoost Startup Squeal
Hey Guys,
I just noticed in the last couple days that my truck make a couple of squeal noises when I start it up in the mornings. Its been just below freezing the last couple days. I have a 2011 Ecoboost with 61,000km.
I thought at one point I read or watched something about this sound on this forum but cant seem to find it with the search function. It is definitely not the same sound as the timing chain rattle.
Anyone ever experienced this that could help me out?

It is either the timing chain or the vacuum pump. Need more info to figure out which. Timing chain is very expensive. Vacuum pump is behind drivers side headlight. Not cheap. But can be diy.
If coming from headlight area it is probably the pump.
If coming from headlight area it is probably the pump.

If it is a squeal I'm going to agree with the belt and pulleys comment above.
