Update Dec 1 2014
Well I've had 7 or 8 cold starts now and no noise. It's been quite as a mouse on startup and seems to idle quiter too. Turbo noise still present...
One thing I have noticed is how much more power the truck has now... Wow! My timing was out 8 degrees as stated on the work order. The first dealer told me I was out less than .5 degree... All I know is the truck is much more responsive, much more low-end torque and my gas mileage is now improving after a reset of the computer.
Now I need to sort the turbo issue and we're good...
Record the sound and and upload to YouTube tagging the dealers name, phone and address. Worked for me... They don't like bad publicity.
What I find astonishing is that this issue (timing chain stretch) is responsible for significant power loss in the vehicle and Ford shrugs... and says it's normal... It's not.

Hey guys my f150 eco boost is also making this noise ford is telling me now it's a normal noise I am so fed up with dealing with them my truck has gone in 3 times and still nothing. Has anyone gotten this fixed o and yes they replaced my timing chain and tensioner.

It's not happening every day, yet. And they won't do anything, as you know, until they can hear it happen. I can't be without the truck to let it sit long enough for them to hear it( I think if it sits for two days it most likely WILL do it for them). I may have to push them into giving me the rental so I can leave it. But, we all know Fords directive at this point…

I think these motors are fairly maintenance sensitive.
More speaking on oil changes but spark plugs too.
I use full synthetic 5W30 with Wix filters. I change it every 6000-7000 KMS (3700-4300 Miles) and I do about 50% highway with a decent warm up most of the time.
When I change it it smells like gas and is usually dark ish. I would not want to go too far past that.
With all that being said, I have just over 100,000kms (61000 miles) and virtually no timing chain stretch.
I used the exact instructions using IDS as listed in the TSB and my timing was ~.88
I was happy to see this and I will continue my oil change intervals as they have been.
