Ugh, mine just did it this morning. 2011 fx4. Turned 53000 miles yesterday(fresh out of warranty, naturally). Found this thread, now I'm horrified.

Get a recording and get it documented... How long is the powertrain warranty on a new F-150 bought in the USA? In Canada it's 100,000km or 5 years on the powertrain.

Yeah my truck has been in for about a month now. Dealer really can't figure out what it is. It really sucks being with out my truck. Here is what i think, the mechanics aren't really motivated to find the problem especially since they get paid on book time. How long can they probe around while letting easy book time work passes them up.

I'm at 54000 miles and mine has been in 3 times for it and I have video and they still can't get clearance to work on it.

No, they have not, so I kind of understand but it just sucks.

Hmmmm, good luck with them. I purchased my truck there. Had to take my truck to mak hiak to get anything fixed.
