I had it one time where the Dealership told me "It isn't running that bad."

I said "You drive the pos then, I'll get a rental and see you in Court. It runs like crap."

Service Manager then got on the phone and talked to the factory rep. He said "It really does run like chit."

It was an oxygen sensor and the last Chrysler I bought was in 1984.

I just checked my oil and it looks pretty nasty. They didnt give me any paperwork and there isnt a tag in the window. Im going to call and make sure they fax or email me the service report. I dont want ford to claim (again) that i didnt have the oil changed.

Hi jm0502,

Do you have a case with our Ford Customer Relationship Center? If so, please send over the case number in a PM. If not, please PM your name, phone number, VIN, mileage, and which dealer you're working with; I'll check into this.

PM sent, thank you.

I spoke with the dealer today, the guy that I dealt with wasnt there, which he has been pretty helpful and polite. They emailed me my report, they didnt perform a oil change, so i will be getting one done tomorrow. I may have miss heard him or he miss spoke.

Started it this morning, with the camera in the engine compartment. I got a pretty audible rattle. Just wish this was enough to get it fixed. Also with my camera resting on the hood latch, It made my vacuum pump sound extremely loud.

Why is Ford torturing their customers with this issue?

They know it's a problem, they know how to fix it, they know it can be hard to reproduce, but yet they deny, deny, deny.

It shouldn't feel like you won the lottery when you get your dealer to fix a known problem with a known solution.

Default Cold starts

Now that the weather has dipped into the teens, I am noticing 4-6 ounces of straight gas in my catch can. This was a result of 169 miles over a 3 week period.

hopefully the catch can is diverting all the fuel that got dumped into the oil last winter. Still not hearing the rattle on start-up, so not all bad.

anyone have this happen at lower ambient temperatures?

Ford built the all new Generation ll 3.5L because of it's problems, best to just trade up to generation 2 with twin front timing chains and stronger bottom end. OEM reasoning is that it is quieter with them.

Truck only has 60k miles would hate to trade in on a $50k truck! Might have to though.

Definitely do it while it has value. The 11-14 ecoboost market is beginning to get a black eye and the market shows it as values (book) have plummeted in the last two months.
