Picking my truck up today. They didn't hear the noise. A little disappointed. I would like to get this fixed and done with.

I dunno, kind of over it and just want to drive it without throwing more money at it. I may take it in at some point but I just don't care anymore.

There are "do not flash" plugs you can buy to put in the OBD II plug. I have one.

Also good to put a "93 octane only" sticker by the fuel fill hole if you are tuned for 93 octane.

Back at the dealer, check engine light came on. Last time I drove it it had huge lost of power. There was a constant blow off from the turbo. The check engine light points them to replace the timing chain. But when they check further into it they don't think that's the problem. There is a large amount of gas in the oil also.

Pretty much this. Unless I've missed something, we haven't nailed down the root cause and Ford is certainly mum on that particular word. Which is par for the course, considering the number of tries required to fix the CAC/water ingestion problem. You could have all the same parts with the same problems, or the silver bullet....we just don't know......

Looking at the parts list we know many are on their 2nd revision and the timing chain on it's 3rd. The last letter indicates the revision. The rest of it can be decoded using a Ford parts decoder. (This one seems good: http://vb.foureyedpride.com/showthre...d-part-numbers )

Now knowing what parts were in your truck is tough but I think it would be safe to say that the 2011's and some 2012's are version A of many of these parts.

Just hope the updated parts fix it for the long haul.

mine still does it when it's cold. it's been in 3 times now, the one time they fixed it replaced a chain tensioner that was retracted when it shouldn't have been but then the noise came back soon after. I feel slightly vindicated now there's a TSB but the hard part now is getting it back in for them to hear it... the last time I was down for an oil change they asked me & I said yes. the service rep told me the truck has plenty of warranty still & they've had no issues with Ford covering engine issues, so long as proper maintenance was done.

In regards to gas in oil, have you had the TSB done at the Dealer for that? A TSB was out for fuel smell in oil and overfull symptoms on the dipstick.

There is a revised TSB that was issued Friday, 16-0027. Technical difficulties though can't see what it says

What is this, the third time they've attempted to issue a tsb for this problem?
