So you're saying you first had symptoms while you were under powertrain warranty and it was documented. You then have gone on to nearly 40,000km past warranty expiration where you then had the symptoms again and was verified by the mechanics. The motor was then replaced....under warranty?

I was told by my service manager that they have a goodwill warranty out to 140,000km for issues like this. Not that I would put much faith in it, but... It's good to see people are getting this issue taken care of now. My truck has 23,000km on it and it's made the noise twice.

Lots of posts...will this only be covered under 3 year warranty or 5 year powertrain warranty?
